ISSUE 01  · JUNE 19, 2026

We went quiet for a few months. Here's what we built instead.

FROM THE FOUNDER

The tariffs hit, and they wrecked us.

Hey friend. I need to be honest with you.

One of the homes mid-flight at the time belonged to Mr. Bryce Adams in Winter Haven, FL. He'd hit permitting issues on his land and couldn't place it through no fault of his own. So we redirected the home to Powder Springs at our expense, trying to give it a second life.

That's when the tariffs hit hardest. The resale slowed to a crawl. No storefront. No proper landing page. Just a 400 sq ft home sitting in Georgia waiting for the right family.

It took us until March of this year, but the home found one. Another Florida family building a homestead near Mr. Adams.

REIMBURSED IN FULL

$30,000

to Mr. Adams. What seemed like a disaster ended up being a blessing to another family.

That story is one of many. The pattern repeated enough times that the math stopped working. We were in the negative.

So we had a choice. Keep selling and risk putting another family in a position like Mr. Adams. Or stop, get honest, and figure out a better way. We stopped. We could have kept going. We didn't. The cost of being wrong wasn't ours alone to pay anymore.

And while Mr. Adams was made whole, there's still someone in South Carolina who isn't. The chargeback wave caught them through no fault of their own. They trusted us with what was supposed to become a home. We owe them. We're working toward making it right. That obligation didn't end when we stopped selling. It's a big part of why I'm still building.

HOW WE CLOSE THE GAP

What happened to that family won't happen on PERCH.

I.  VERIFIED LISTINGS

Every listing is verified before it goes live. Title and escrow run through licensed partners at close, with funds held in trust until ownership transfers cleanly.

II.  STATESIDE INVENTORY

Every home on PERCH is already on US soil. No deals stranded by a tariff swing. No freight chains breaking mid-flight. What you see is here, with clear chain of title, ready to move.

THE TURN

I needed to get crystal clear on what we're building.

Not just tiny homes. Not just a brand. A movement.

I started paddling again after we hit those hard walls. I wasn't sure which direction. I just knew I had to keep moving.

Then something happened. The moment I got crystal clear on the vision, a podcast invitation came. Then an editorial interview. Eight pages on what we believe and how we're innovating. Out of nowhere.

That's not a coincidence. That's alignment.

But I still didn't entirely know what the vision was called yet. So I kept building under My Tiny Home Hub. Something still felt disconnected.

WHAT I REALIZED

Our space is full of product pushers.

I'll say it plainly. We were sometimes guilty of it too. But we always made it a point to educate: what you can't do, where you can't put it, what questions nobody's answering.

Because here's the truth. There are questions in this space you can't find answers to on Google.

Where do I finance it?

Where can I put it?

Where can I find the land?

Everyone needs a place to live. Every life stage. Yet the gaps are massive. That's what we woke up to on day one. And that's when I knew what to build.

INTRODUCING

PERCH.

PERCH is a real marketplace, not just a newsletter. Builders list their homes. Sellers list their homes. Buyers see the whole market in one place. Honest pricing. Verified listings. A real person on the other end when you need one.

Think Autotrader × Zillow, but only for the homes the housing industry forgot: modular, manufactured, prefab, tiny, ADU, and container.

The waitlist opened a few weeks ago. 4,000+ buyers have already joined. Sellers and builders too. Early members get the first look before PERCH opens publicly.

OUR VISION

100,000

AMERICAN FAMILIES, HOUSED.

This isn't just for me. It isn't just for the business. It's for every family the housing market forgot. That's not a metric. That's a covenant.

No timeline. Because the God I serve does miraculous things. And I know I'm here for the right reasons.

Sometimes what looks like a setback is actually a setup for something better. I rest in that. I surrender to the plan. This business was given to me. My job is just to steward it.

I show the work. He shows the way.

PERCH

Your place to land.
